East Cambridgeshire Trading Company have an exciting opportunity for a Ground Maintenance Operative to join their team.
Location: Ely, East Cambridgeshire
Salary: GBP21,322 - GBP23,541 per annum
Job Type: 1 x Permanent post and 1 x 6-month Fixed Term contract
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm

Ground Maintenance Operative - The Role:
To help the Council meet the high expectations of our residents and continue the delivery of an excellent service to the public, Our Prestigious contracts and the East Cambs Trading Company Ltd, we are now looking to appoint 2 Grounds Maintenance Operatives. One of the posts is permanent and the second post if for a fixed period of 6 months.
Working as part of the Council's Parks and Open Spaces team you will assist with the completion of the ground's maintenance program.
Ground Maintenance Operative - You:
- You will ideally have a background in Grounds Maintenance or any other similar vocation and be conversant with the use of commercial equipment, although this is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
- You will need to hold a full driving license and have the capacity to fulfil the duties associated with the role
- You will be a team player who is able to complete tasks without constant supervision, have an eye for detail, and be able to manage your time accordingly
Due to the nature of the role, we need some flexibility in regard to the working patterns.
