Our expanding client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Controls Engineer on a permanent basis, looking to start ASAP.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing and in writing software for control of Robot cells and special purpose machinery. You will have experience creating electrical hardware drawings and BOM and ideally be electrically trained within the automotive or special purpose machine industry.
Key duties
* Designing and developing new Control Systems to suit Company Projects.
* Managing Controls operations, working collaboratively with Design Engineers, Technicians, Electrical Installation Engineers, and other internal staff
* Liaising with Clients, Suppliers, Contractors and Relevant Authorities where necessary.
* Project Management within Cost and Time constrained environments
* Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant Health and Safety Regulations and Quality standards, providing advice and support.
* Writing PLC Software and Test procedures
* Electrical testing, Safety and quality checks before shipping (electrical functionality tests)
* Troubleshooting/Fault finding and rectifying of electrical issues -
* Supervising of Electrical Contractors, confirming all work is in line with standards

The role is based in North Leicestershire and so easily commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Grantham and Leicester
