Are you an experienced Reliability Engineering Manager - Photonics? Are you looking to work for a global leading R&D busines? If so, this is the role for you!
This person needs to take responsibility for the Reliability & Qualification programme in Devon covering the following:
In this role you will be require an ability to manage the team, facility and activities required to show the reliability of products and to confirm they meet international reliability standards. You will manage the team and facility dedicated to Qualification and Reliability, and be responsible for the planning and quality of the work. You will take responsibility for the strategy underlying the planning, and for the development of our capabilities both on site and within partner companies.
The key tasks of this Reliability Engineering Manager job are:
*Managing a team of 3-5.
*Working with engineers and Project Managers in Product Development and operations.
*Planning and implementing the activities to stress devices to demonstrate their reliability.
*Planning and implementing activities to show that reliability is maintained after any changes in the product, and periodically.
*Planning and implementing plans to maintain the facility and capability.
*Presenting plans and reports both internally and externally.
Knowledge and skills required for this Reliability Engineering Manager job are:
*You have experience managing reliability activities, preferably in the field of components for communication systems.
*You must have experience working within the Photonic/Optoelectronics sectors.
The ideal candidate has a hands-on mentality and is not afraid to intervene and to provide support where necessary, has an analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills, and, finally, is a confident speaker with effective presentation skills and with the ability to demonstrate a highly professional approach representing the reliability of our product
