I'm currently recruiting for a Live In Scheme Manager on behalf of our client. Successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of designated sheltered leaseholder schemes. They will promote independence and facilitate support for every resident of the scheme. The successful candidate is expected to live-in on site at a scheme in Tadworth, Surrey, where a two bedroom flat will be provided at an affordable rent.
Client Details
My Client are very successful non for profit organisation based in Tadworth, Surrey. You MUST have a full UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle to be considered for the role.
Description
To monitor the health and independence of each tenant, liaising with other agencies to coordinate appropriate actions to ensure adequate support and care is provided.
To respond to emergency calls from tenants and to contact/visit relatives and/or the doctor or other services as required.
To provide assistance in the case of accident or illness until additional help from local services and/or relatives can be obtained.
To follow procedure and deal effectively, calmly and professionally in the event of a resident's death. Contacting next of kin and fellow residents.
To call all tenants daily (Monday-Friday) at designated scheme(s).
To be responsible for the reporting of all maintenance issues and ensuring repairs are carried out.
To carry out six-monthly checks within residents' properties to ensure smoke detectors and emergency pull cords are functioning correctly.
To carry out inductions for new residents, ensuring they are aware of procedures within the scheme.Profile
Understanding of the housing support needs of older people.
A good understanding of Health and Safety.
Ability to identity and raise general maintenance tasks
Understanding of community alarms used in sheltered housing.
Relevant qualification within the field of supported housing.
Previous experience of supported housing.
