Education Manager (Education, Health and Care Plan) - Spider is advertising on behalf of a highly successful environmental education charity, which helps disadvantaged and marginalised adults and children who are struggling to progress in life, work, or education, and who need support to overcome their unique personal barriers. Their team is expanding and now looking for an Education Manager (EHCP) to join them on a full-time basis in Lawshall, Suffolk.
You will liaise with local partners to design appropriate interventions for young people who have an Education, Health and Care Plan, providing opportunity for young people to engage in education, learn essential life skills and grow in confidence and self-esteem within the natural environment. You will be patient, positive, culturally smart and can flex your approach to motivate and encourage. The role will be split between working directly with young people and creating appropriate plans with the local authority.
Your main duties will include:
* Develop and maintain professional, supportive working relationships with key partners, young people and their families
* To attend a range of meetings with young people, parents, school staff and other professionals as required, including annual reviews in line with agreed priorities.
* Understanding the needs of the young person and creating a comprehensive delivery plan, whereby we can capture progress and key milestones.
* To support the wider team in the preparation of information for delivery, reports, and general correspondence as requested.
* Monitor participant levels and actively recruit participants through your networks
* Deliver both 1:1 and group sessions within the natural environment
* Responsible for the EHCP work across Suffolk and managing a small team

Essential Experience and Knowledge
* Experience of compiling and presenting information and reports
* Working with marginalised and vulnerable adults and young people
* Working with people with additional or/and special educational needs
* Writing learning and development programmes for groups and individuals
* Maintaining good relationships with partners to achieve outcomes
* Experience working with diverse communities
* Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans
Essential Skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your approach
* Creative thinker, with proven problem-solving skills
* Proven ICT skills and confident with managing data, in line with GDPR
* Demonstrate respect for all cultures, religions and beliefs
Desirable
* Direct experience of working with statutory partners on ECHPs
* Working in either conservation or education setting
* A working knowledge of Forest School delivery
* A teaching qualification - PTLLS, CTTLLS or DTLLS
* Health and Safety/First Aid trained
This Education Manager (ECHP) position is full- time, permanent position - 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of GBP28,845 per annum.
