We are currently recruiting for a Project Subcontracts Manager who will work within the Procurement department with skills leaning towards the commercial and functional management of subcontractors particular to projects. The role is the prime contact point with Work Package Manager, liaising with all disciplines and having contact with subcontractors. In particular you would work in close association with the Project Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
* Implements and applies DBL Procedures and Work Instructions.
* Arranges and chairs prestart meeting with subcontractor and issues Notice to commence.
* Issues all contractual notices and correspondence and maintains log.
* Implements and maintains change procedure including maintaining log.
* Values and agrees monthly payments.
* Values and agrees all variations and adjustments to subcontractor account.
* Issues payment certificates to subcontractor.
* Issues all notices of contra charge and or set off to subcontractor and maintains log.
* Evaluates all Claims received from subcontractors
* Formulates contemporary records relating to subcontractors performance, resources levels and progress.
* Provides reports to pre-agreed detail and at intervals agreed with HoSM and distributes reports.
* Agrees Final Account with subcontractors inclusive of Retention release as appropriate.
We are looking for an individual with significant and appropriate experience of collaborative team working within an alliance project team, ideally within Process and Energy Sector, but at a minimum within an Engineering and Construction organisation. You will have an HNC (or equivalent) and/or full membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS), RICS, CIOB or MCost E. Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing the NEC suite of contracts and I Chem E for works goods and services including the procurement and installation of safety critical equipment and material is a pre-requisite. Knowledge of Border Force importation requirements, especially European Community supply chains, is preferable whilst previous experience of ensuring appropriate strategies and consideration of Incoterms, import duties and taxes to minimise risk to project schedule and delivery dates is required.
