JOB DESCRIPTION: LINKING TECHNICIAN
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To fully link point to point the knitted panels produced in the knitting department to the level required
REPORT TO: Production Manager
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Understanding and implementing all correct safety procedures when loading yarn onto machine prior to work, looping knitted panels onto dial and running the linking machine itself.
Being able to link a full garment including but not limited to the following garment points: side seam, sleeves, collars, plackets, shoulder seams, pockets.
Correct recording of all daily production on internal productivity sheets.
Follow correct procedure for using Albion production barcode scanning system.
Ensuring that all targets issued by Production Manager and production deadlines are adhered to.
During extremely busy periods, help within other depts. may be required at Production Manager's discretion
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Experience in linking high quality, natural fibre knitted garments for bulk production.
Experience with linking of knitted pieces made from natural fibre yarns including but not limited to 100% cashmere, 100% merino, cashmere & merino blends, cashmere, merino & silk blends
