CNC Machinist

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to work on the Milling machines for our precision engineering client based on the outskirts of Royston. You will have a good understanding of 3, 4 & 5 axis machines and would have worked with a variety of materials including Stainless steel, Aluminum, Brass, Mild steel and plastics.

Our client will consider applications from candidates that have just qualified and completed an apprenticeship as well as skilled CNC Machinists that can confidently set, operate and program the CNC Milling machines.

Start: ASAP
Location: Outskirts of Royston, Hertfordshire
Salary: GBPNegotiable dependent on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week with overtime available at the weekends and evenings

Duties:

* Setting, Operating and Programming CNC Milling machines

* Using Siemens and CAD/CAM

* Understand and work from Engineering drawings

* Machining a wide range of materials

* Checking that work meets quality and technical guidelines

* Maintain safe and efficient operations

* Ensure you meeting clients deadlines

Skills and Experience:

* Demonstrable experience in a similar role as a fully skilled CNC Miller / Programmer

* Able to work to tight tolerances

* Ability to confidently program, set and operate CNC milling machines

* CAD/CAM experience preferred but not essential and training can be provided

* Machining a wide range of materials
