Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a manufacturing business based in the St Mellons area of Cardiff. This client requires a well experienced Forklift Operator who holds a Counterbalance License to join their team. Previous experience within a Manufacturing business is ideal.
The successful Counterbalance Forklift Operator will be joining a well established team and will be responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of heavy goods vehicles using a Forklift whilst working on production lines. This health and safety conscious business is looking for candidate who is able to demonstrate they can build fantastic working relationship with team members who all work to common goal for success.

Salary and Benefits
* Salary of up to (GBP10.27 p/h) GBP21,000, you will start on GBP9.40p/h until training is completed
* Company Performance Related bonus (10% of Salary)
* 23 days hols plus 8 bank holidays
* Contributory Pension
* Shifts are 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm on a rotating basis (early finish on late shift Friday evening)
* Full time permanent role with training and career progression
Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure warehouse activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the requirements of the company Unloading / Loading goods
* Operating appropriate Material Handling Equipment
* Accurate identification and recording of material arriving / departing
* Moving goods around the warehouse safely
* Making sure goods are safely, efficiently and securely stored
* Working on the production lines when required
* Ensure quality standards, and environmental objectives are met.
* Communicate effectively and promptly with colleagues, customers, suppliers and transport companies. Ensure compliance health & safety requirements and all relevant current Health & Safety legislation.
* Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and employee guidance.
Forklift Operator Essential Experience
* A full and up to date RTITB FLT Licence is required - B2 Counterbalance
* Previous experience in a production/ FLT role is essential
* Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
* Demonstrable track record of operating forklift trucks is essential
