HR Advisor

We are currently seeking an experienced, commercially focussed, HR Advisor with a proven track record in dealing with ER matters to join our busy team.

You would be the first point of contact for our Operations Managers to provide advice and support on all ER issues.

You will help to ensure a fair and consistent approach to the Company's policies and procedures, promoting a positive ER culture whilst minimising risks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:-

• Provide comprehensive advice and guidance to Operations Managers for a variety of HR queries

• Dealing with queries from employee's directly (relating to holiday, pay and contractual queries)

• Interpreting, assisting and advising employees on various matters in line with Company procedures and policies, using the appropriate formal or informal company framework

• Advising Area and Regional Managers on complex and non-complex HR queries and escalating to the HR Manager as necessary

. Support Line Managers in the production of correspondence and information packs to support effective execution of ER cases

. Manage internal relationships and promptly respond to queries and manage expectations

. Provide support, guidance and management of HR issues such as grievance, disciplinary, capability investigations and hearings.

. Work closely with the wider HR team on an on-going basis to monitor, review and update policies in line with current legislation and best practice

. When necessary support other areas of the HR function, in particular HR Administration and recruitment.

Skills, qualifications and experience required:-

. Excellent team player

. Confidence to communicate across all levels of the business

. Generalist HR experience within an HR environment

. Good working knowledge of legislation and the practical application of the law in terms of Policies in a commercial environment

. Sound understanding of HR practices, procedures and strong technical skills (particularly in relation to Employment Law and Policy development)

. Excellent attention to detail

. Flexible 'can do' attitude

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

. Advanced IT skills

Person Specification:-

• HR experience with a strong ER focus

• Must have a commercial focus

• At least 2 years as a HR Advisor in a previous role

• CIPD qualified, part-qualified or equivalent or equivalent demonstrable experience in HR with a Law degree and Employment Law elective.

• Experience in the QSR industry or similar is a bonus!

• Experience in a HR Consultancy environment such as Peninsula or Mentor would be advantageous

The Company Head Office is based in Camberley and the hours of work would be Monday- Friday 9-5.30.

This is an office-based role however, for the current time-being the role would be home based with training taking place via Teams due to the current pandemic.
