An established IT Company within Southampton is seeking an IT Technician to join their IT Support team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Technician to assist in supporting a variety of customers through excellent customer service.
This is a great opportunity for an IT Technician who is looking for a role which will offer exposure to a broad range of support technologies.
As a specialist IT Technician, you will:
Work with colleagues and occasionally with vendors, to resolve customer problems
Maintain accurate records including timesheets
Identify, troubleshoot and document user issues and fixes - working within a structured problem[1]management and resolution process
Provide excellent customer service - building rapport and identifying appropriate solutions
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and undertake ongoing training
Meet established Service Level Agreements on turnaround times The IT Technician will have:
An excellent knowledge of Microsoft software and technologies including Microsoft 365
Good knowledge of hardware including laptops, PC's, printers, tablets, and smart phones
Minimum 2 years' Service Desk experience in a Managed Service Provider business
Understanding of hardware encryption technologies. Understanding of desktop security and anti-virus, and anti-malware
Basic networking knowledge including an understanding of IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP.
Understanding of remote access including VPNs and two factor authentication.
Experience in Microsoft Azure would be a benefit.This IT Technician role is paying up to GBP31,000, plus benefits.
