Job Description
The IT Auditor will assist in planning, execution and reporting of IT related reviews and audits, working closely with the Group IT Audit Manager, Head of Internal Audit and wider Internal Audit team.
* Assist in planning and execution of IT operations, service management, cybersecurity, and process control reviews and audits, identify issues and risks; effectively communicate them within the team and to auditees.
* Review and discuss audit findings with auditees and management and advise on appropriate courses of action.
* Assist the Group IT Audit Manager in preparing and drafting of audit reports for publication.
* Collate audit findings, management responses and track resolutions; update IAD's tracking system.
* Utilize computer assisted auditing and data analytics tools where applicable to maximize the efficiency of IT Audit testing.
* Develop and maintain effective communication channels with operational and IT teams at all group companies.
* Be a trusted member of the team and respond to IT/IT audit related queries and questions from group companies, advise the Audit department on changing IT risks and help devise a strategy/approach to address digital risks.
* Work closely with other members of the Group Internal Audit team to establish the audit department as a pro-active, value-adding source of expertise, assistance, and consulting advice.
* Carry out ad hoc project work as directed by the Group IT Audit Manager
* To plan, co-ordinate and undertake ad hoc work in the UK and overseas as required.
* Identify key areas that should be audited and assist in the maintenance and running of the global technology audit planner.
* Periodically and when required, review and evaluate computer applications.
* Proven ability to work and run projects to a high standard with minimal supervision, whilst managing time effectively.
* Work with External Audit and co-sourced Internal Audit partners as required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in IT and/or technical auditing in a client facing role or within an internal audit department at a firm comparable to Informa in size.
* Good understanding of Enterprise IT and Cybersecurity concepts with process-orientated skills coupled with good problem analysis capabilities, ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, demanding and fast-changing corporate environment.
* Risk management mindset; good knowledge of Digital Transformation, Internet technologies, ERP systems, Operating System controls and experience of application control reviews.
* Technical and/or audit related qualifications preferred.
* Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
* Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to win support and cooperation in a team environment as well as from senior management and third parties.
* Knowledge/experience of systems development and project management methodologies.
* Willingness to travel to Informa sites within the UK and overseas and spend time away from home.
* University education desired, Batchelor's degree in related field welcome, but not essential.
