Job Specification for CAD Technician:
The role:
* Creation of Drawings and BOMs utilising Solidworks & AutoCAD.
* Creating Drawings for Machining Operations as indicated.
* Liaison with production departments and Sales to resolve design and manufacturing issues, identify and implement agreed solutions.
* Adhere to the structured file system for control of all drawings.
Candidate Requirements:
* Solidworks and drafting skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience and knowledge of Laser / Punch Cutting and Press-brake operations.
* A sound knowledge of engineering design principles of materials / fittings used within a sheet metal environment.
* The ability to multi-task.
* Excellent Problem-solving ability.
Desirable:
* Experience of working in to ISO9001.
