About the role:

Our client in Liphook is seeking full-time care assistants for their 25 bedded residential care home. The home specialises in elderly and dementia care is a part of a well-established, family-run care company with multiple homes across the South of England. The current CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas and the home promotes person-centred care in a very comfortable and inviting environment.

The home is only a short, 10 minute walk from Liphook train station and is on the main line between Portsmouth, Guildford and London Waterloo. Liphook is only a 30 minute journey from Guildford and 40 minutes from Portsmouth.

Key details

Both Days and Nights are available paying GBP9.25-10.20 per hour. (Depending on experience and qualifications in care) The shift patterns are 7-7 and these are full time, permanent roles (36 hours per week + optional overtime). Some part time Carer roles of 24 hours per week may also be available.

Further training and support is available to Carers to progress in their careers into Senior Carer and Care Team Leader positions.

They also have a Senior Care Assistant position available paying a fantastic GBP10.75 per hour!

Care Assistant Main Duties:

Supporting the other HCA's and SHCA's in delivering the highest quality of care

Following residents specific care plans

Support residents with personal care (toileting, washing and dressing)

Maintain residents dignity and independence

Manual handling - Lifting and helping residents move around

Care Assistant Skills Needed:

The ideal care assistant will have a positive and caring attitude with good communication skills. Reliability and a strong team/work ethic are essential within this role.

Care Assistant Skills Desired:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social is desirable although not essential. Previous experience of working within a care home/home care/hospital setting is desirable.
