We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fuel Reception Operator to join our team at Peterborough ERF, working 42.5 hours per week, across a shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays.

Energy Recovery Facilities are vital in supporting the UK's ambition to reduce waste in an efficient and effective manner, helping to reduce the impact of waste on climate change. After reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible, our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) provide the infrastructure to efficiently recover energy from residual waste, meaning landfill becomes the last resort.

As our Fuel Reception Operator, you will operate mobile plant such as Loading Shovels, Overhead Cranes, Tele-handlers, Forklift Trucks and any other machinery as required in accordance with Peterborough ERF procedures.

Additionally, you will manage waste safely and efficiently, assist with the cleaning and maintenance and overall efficient operation of the Peterborough ERF facility. This will ensure the achievement of throughput and quality targets, in line with environmental compliance.

Our ideal Fuel Reception Operator will have:

Ability to recognise different types of waste streams.
Experience in the operation of mobile plant.
Loading shovel, overhead crane, telehandler, forklift truck licences.
Experience within a process/ industrial facility.
Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively.
Understanding of the waste management hierachy.
