Residential SEN Teacher needed

Keep Education is excited to be helping Hertfordshire Council with a brand new role, starting in September for a qualified and experienced SEN Teacher to teach residentially.

The Role:

* 4 days per week- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays

* 20 hours per week

* Year 8 child

* Secondary Teacher with SEN experience would be required

* Start in July 2021 for a handover period

* Role could extend through to next year

* Residential role- working from the child's home

* Academic teaching

* Planning, marking and preparation will be required

* Own resources will be needed

* Rewarding role, perfect for someone that has SEN experience and would be interested in taking on a new challenge

The Candidate:

* Must have SEN experience- particular within ASD, ADHD and dyslexia

* Ideal candidate would be quite nurturing and academically strong

* Understanding Autism courses would be desired

* Must have QTS- Experience in Secondary Education

* Must know the UK curriculum

* Supply their own resources

* Someone that could work with a child with high functioning ASD.

* Effectively communicate with parents & local community.

* Eligible to work in the UK/ Willing to under-go DBS Check and a DBS on the update service is essential for this role.

* QTS is required!
