We are looking for an Operations Manager who can deliver a World class level of operational and customer service excellence both within your own site team and cross functionally through effective continuous improvement, process management and establishment and maintenance of inspirational leadership.

Brief Overview:

The main purpose of the role is to lead all manufacturing processes to the highest standards and within pre-defined deadlines. The effective management of people, material and equipment to achieve a first class level of customer service. To develop and manage the execution of plans to support overall site's and business objectives through the deployment of 'lean sigma' methodologies and metrics working towards achieving a culture of continuous improvement. To drive change and continuous improvement in all aspects of manufacturing, value engineering, planning and resource utilisation.

The primary tasks include, but are not limited to:-

Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

Full entire site responsibility, including all manufacturing, office, within the perimeter of AVKS.

SHEQ Compliance.

To manage the maintenance teams and all routine and preventative maintenance activities.

To maintain a manual preventive maintenance system leading to a computerised system and evaluate asset management. To make recommendation of capex replacement.

To plan the operational maintenance and repair of facilities and testing of equipment.

To manage all on site employees with people related matters. Including recruitment, labour planning, employee relations and performance management opportunities.

To identify training needs and improvement opportunities for all employees. Using agreed methodology to appraise and review performance. Raise the competence level within the operating company

The maintain Service Delivery / Availability & Reliability to a minimum of 95%

To seek Labour and Productivity Efficiency gains to drive down cost and to improve on AGMC overall profitability

To manage the production functions, systems and processes ensuring that all business objectives are met, utilizing SD2 5S Standards and LEAN and CI methodologies.

Using LEAN and Continuous Improvement Methodology propose new opportunities for efficiencies in plant layout.

To drive LEAN and Continuous Improvement and best practice initiative in the key elements of manufacturing performance.

To maintain Product Quality & Process Compliance of all SOP's to ensure the highest quality is maintained

To manage and have full accountability of the Profit and Loss accounts and all aspects of the engineering costs, budgets and business plan

To manage, mentor and support Materials Expeditors to ensure material available is a minimum of 95%

Full Responsibility of Inventory Management, inbound and through the operation company

Raise the Competence level

Must have excellent management skills - able to lead, direct, empower, support and encourage the development of teams.

Lead regular meetings with Group Operations Director to pinpoint areas within the factories that can be improved
