HonkyTonk Wine Library is a hybrid Wine Deli, Wine Lounge situated on the historic Sutton Harbour, formerly known as Sutton pool in Plymouth Devon. Founded in 2018 by couple Zoe Brodie and Fitz Spencer and very much a family run business. Our ethos is simple??? wine makes great conversation. Casually combining the love of fine wine and sharing food, the craving of conversation We are a haven away from the hustle and bustle with tranquil harbour views.
Our business has many strings to the operation from 80-seater dine or drink venue split over two areas outside under canape area and our wonderful comfortable indoor lounge and dining area. We have established regular events, wine tastings, inhouse and online, comedy club, Sunday Jazz Roast Club and more!
We are looking for an experience 2nd Chef to join head chef DonovanSpencer and team
We have gained a reputation for our food, wine & service over the last 3 years, which is down to our standards of implementing consistency with in both our food, staff, ambience, and suppliers. Therefore, this must be a consideration with all new staff that our standards are paramount for our continuing success.
We are a small and close net team, and this position will suit an individual whether male of female who wishes to grow with company the is growing and expanding all the time.
Honkytonk has future to expand its operation into other sectors with the 1st being the launch of our new spiced rum.
We are now on the search to find a 2nd chef to join our team with the following key requirements.
We will be offering full time hours, to the new chef however we do ask the following.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
• Holds health and Hygiene certificate
• A strong passion for Food and utilising our local food
• Knowledge of H.A.C.C.A.P and C.O.S.H.H
• Leadership skills and knows how to delegate during service.
• The ability to put different weekend specials following our ethos as sharing.
• Has own transport or a reliable means to get to and from work
• Reliable timekeeper
• Willing to learn about wines and wine paring
• A team player "Vital"
Up to GBP23.000 pa / share of tips/ 10% staff discount from the shop / pension contribution /
Start date: Imminently or your contracted notice period
