* Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance
* Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity providing services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and those who have been victims of domestic abuse across all age groups across the Midlands.
About the role
Oakland Village is a retirement Village for people aged 55 and over based in Swadlincote and is open 365 days per year.
As the Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and supervision of the Bar, Bistro, Kitchen and Event management whilst on duty.
You will be accountable for the supervising of the staff teams and ensuring that we deliver a high-quality customer service. The role will also involve looking to expand and promote the commercial business at Oakland Village.
About you
We are looking for someone who is innovative and has experience of running a busy Bar/Bistro, Kitchen and event management
You will have excellent communication skills, computer skills, be able to use Microsoft products including excel and able to create artwork for posters and menus including social media
Other duties will include:
* Rota Management
* Knowledge of Stock Control
* Covering both bar, bistro, kitchen and function duties
* Implementing operational guidelines
* Ensuring compliance in health, safety and hygiene standards
* Cellar management
* Training staff in all aspects of the bar/bistro/kitchen and functions daily to include up selling and till accuracy
* Supporting and supervising the casual and permanent staff teams to deliver excellent customer service
* Financial responsibilities following on site policy and procedures
* Supervising and be able to produce good quality meals to Oakland Village Residents and Derbyshire County Council Clients daily.
* You will make sure that all Health & Safety and food policies are adhered to and will also be responsible for daily temperature checks, food ordering from our nominated suppliers.
