This is fantastic opportunity to join a thriving engineering business to lead and manage the company's HSEQ function. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will manage all aspects of Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Environmental matters that concern the company to ensure that the company maintains its ISO9001/45001/14001 certification.

Duties to include:

* Manage, maintain and improve the online Quality Manual.

* Manage, review and maintain requirements of ISO9001/ISO45001/ISO14001 to ensure continued compliance.

* Co-ordinate and run ISO9001/45001/14001 audits and report to management on this.

* Conduct internal audits in line with the company's internal audit plan to ensure that all process and systems are compliant.

* Liaise with all departments to ensure that work processes are correct and up to date.

* Manage all company procedures and risk assessments ensuring they are kept up to date and that the responsible person is notified that their procedure / risk assessment needs updating.

* Provide support to the Operations Manager & Managing Director for Health & Safety matters and keep all H&S files up to date - pro-actively reviewing to ensure that the company is satisfying and maintaining the legal requirements of ISO45001.

* Actively pursue Environmental requirements to ensure that ISO14001 compliance is maintained.

* Attend training courses as and when directed to ensure adequate knowledge is gained.

* Be responsible for monitoring own KPI's and assisting in monitoring company KPI's to drive improvement, as directed by Operations Manager and submitting reports on these when required

Personal Profile:

* The candidate must have a background in managing Quality and ISO standards, ideally from an engineering environment.

* IOSH, NEBOSH or Audit qualification would be an advantage.

* Candidate must be computer literate and operate Microsoft office programmes such as word, excel, etc.

* Be a self-motivated, confident team player and willing to assist in all aspects of the business if required.

* Friendly and polite manner being able to converse on the telephone or face to face with all levels including senior management.

* Must be customer orientated to ensure that their requests are dealt with in a professional manner.

* Must have own transport.

* To be able to work on his / her own initiative.

* Normal working hours: 37.5 Hours a week (0830 - 1700 Daily with 1 hour for lunch)

* Location on outskirts of Colchester, parking available
