Crawley Based - 3 month temp initially

GBP20-GBP24k per annum

Here at Howells we are working with a leading Contractor within the Social Housing sector to recruit a skilled and experienced Administrator to join their team in Crawley. This is a full time, temporary to permanent role.

As the Administrator, you will work within the Planned Maintenance team, who carry out upgrade refurbishments to the Social Housing stock including new kitchens, new bathrooms and new windows and doors for example. These schemes require in-depth organisation and coordination between tenants, the subcontractors carrying out the works in the properties and the managers and client who over see the scheme. As the Administrator, you will play a key part in this coordination.

Key duties include:

Writing and sending letters to tenants advising of works to be carried out in their properties
uploading jobs to the computerised scheduling system to issue works to subcontractors
Updating the computerised scheduling system to ensure it holds accurate details of each job
Using Microsoft Excel, creating pivot tables
Using the system and excel to create progress reports for the client and management team The purpose of this position is to support the Site Manager with computer and admin based elements of the works, freeing up the Site Manager to be more hands-on whilst the works are on-going.

This is more admin than customer service, therefore we are looking for a candidate whose skills and experience reflect that, and who has experience in the Social Housing, Construction or similar sector.
