Regional Engineering Manager - General Manufacturing - Leicester - Salary Highly competitive
OUR CLIENT
Is a leading manufacturing business with a large portfolio of products. They are investing over GBP90 million into a new build factory near Leicester to meet the demand in a buoyant market. This new factory which is expected to be up and running early 2022 requires an Engineering Manager to take full engineering control of the facility while lending support to some other close locations within the group.
THE ROLE
This is a unique opportunity for the successful individual to be in place during the build stage and to be pivotal in recruiting a team and learning about the equipment as it is installed. In addition, it offers the chance to set up all the systems required from PPM schedules to KPI monitoring systems around MTTR / MTBF etc so that they are state of the art and exactly as required. Once up and running the role will be too strive towards Engineering excellence whilst also supporting a few other local factory Engineering Managers within the group.
THE PERSON
You will be an experienced Engineering / Maintenance professional who can learn new technically challenging manufacturing processes. The area of manufacturing your experience has been gained in would ideally be a highly automated process involving PLC controlled equipment, for example Food, Chemicals etc. You will strive for high standards and have a transferrable skill set looking constantly for root causes and 100 year fixes. You will be highly visible from the shop floor and be comfortable actively coaching staff and driving improvements across the manufacturing operation.
