We are seeking a Senior Buyer.
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for directing the buying team and providing cover for the Supply Chain Manager when required. The Senior buyer requires a good working knowledge of best procurement practice in price negotiation, Supplier Relationship Management, replenishment methods and supplier quality management.
You will be accountable for:
* Leadership of the buying team
* Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Contract Administration, Inventory Control, Supplier Selection and Technical Development, Transactional Management, attention to detail, and critical thinking and problem-solving capability.
* Implementing an energetic, forward-thinking and creative culture with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
* Providing flexibility and the ability to be able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment.
* Production of reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Presenting information and be able respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees.
Knowledge Required:
* 2-5 years of progressive experience in professional materials position(s) is desired. Purchasing experience desired or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Solid knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics NAV beneficial.
* Computer skills -General MS-Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatory.
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement is preferred
