My client is seeking an Imaging Application Specialist to provide outstanding support to the sales team for Imaging system sales. Support the delivery of net sales budgets and targets, ensuring all appropriate actions are taken in order to maximise sales performance. Delivery of customer training requirements for Imaging Systems. Ensure initial and ongoing customer training requirements are understood and delivered to a high standard
Main Responsibilities:
Support the sales team with delivery of sales
?? Assist in the delivery of sales plan through providing support to the sales team
?? Be aware of all leads and opportunities within territory
?? Assist with lead qualification for applications and systems
?? Assist customers with funding support requests & applications
?? Produce quotations, where needed.
?? Ensure all advice and guidance provided to customers is accurate and honest
?? Provide support for projects outside of defined territory as and when required
?? Assist Engineer with the set-up of systems ahead of demonstrations
?? Assist Key Account Manager with the delivery of high quality demonstrations
?? Assist with the creation of a post-demonstration report Tender responses.
?? Participate in and provide input into tender response decision meetings
?? Produce product specification documents within required timelines
?? Produce technical response documents within required timelines
?? Produce accurate system quotations within required timelines
?? Carry out system handover and commissioning to customer, together with engineer
?? Assist Engineer with production of post-visit installation report as and when required Delivery of customer training requirements
?? Define and agree training requirements with customer ahead of products being shipped
?? Ensure any non-standard training is charged to the customer and that these costs are included as part of system quotations
?? Deliver training to a high standard within timelines agreed with the customer
?? Create post-visit report and share with the customers following delivery of training Assist in sales strategy development
?? As part of annual planning process, provide assistance to Key Account Manager with the creation, development and execution of territory sales strategies
?? Support Service team in providing application and software support to customers, carrying out corrective actions, resolving and escalating issues quickly and efficiently where required
?? Ensure all customer visits are preceded by a pre-visit communication with a post-visit report being produced once the visit has been completed
?? Be fully aware of and highlight market and competitor insights, including products, commercial terms, pricing, staff, key customers, sales and major installations
?? Keep up to date with all aspects of advanced bio-imaging, including technological trends and the development of new applications
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in Biosciences/biophysics (or equivalent). Have a good understanding of the laboratory environment, microscopy industry and live cell imaging biological applications. You will need proven experience of working with advanced light microscopy systems e.g confocal, super-resolution, high content and multiphoton systems. You will need knowledge of physics, optics, biology to provide innovation solutions to meet customer application and scientific requirements.
This position is covering the Oxford and the Cambridge area, you will need a full driving license and be able to travel. A self motivated attitude is vital.
