Our client, a growing friendly practice based in Grays, Essex has an immediate opportunity for a part-qualified or finalist ACCA semi-senior accountant.
The position will report to the owner who has a background in corporate finance and from whom, you will learn and expand your accounting and commercial awareness.
They are seeking an enthusiastic and focused person who is keen to develop their career by taking on more responsibilities.
The Practice:
* Based in Grays, this paperless practice, is ICAEW regulated.

Key duties for this semi-senior accountant role:
* Review, adjust and finalise limited company accounts prior to filing at Companies' House and HMRC
* Prepare, review and submit corporation tax returns to HMRC
* Review VAT returns
* Carry out financial planning, analyses and modelling to take care of year-end adjustments, reviews and process all HMRC and companies house submissions.
* Build and develop client database through providing strong communications and high service levels.
* Provide help and support to junior staff
Key skills required for this semi-senior accountant role:
* Possesses good bookkeeping and processing experience to trial balance,
* Qualified/finalist ACA / ACCA or equivalent
* Good current/recent knowledge of corporation tax and companies house submission
* Experience of FRS102 and how it affects SME companies
* Good basic Excel, Xero and other accounting software.
