Senior Accountant - Regional Accountancy Practice
The Role
Barber McLelland are working in partnership with a regional independent firm of chartered accountants who, due to recent expansions are recruiting an experienced Senior Practice Accountant.
The firm support a diverse portfolio of clients across the region, providing these businesses with a full range of accounting, auditing, business advisory and taxation services. You would be working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working as part of the firms Audit and Accounts team, the role of Senior Accountant will support a diverse portfolio of clients, with a spilt of 60/40 audit and accounting work, full training can be provide to individuals who have not previously developed experience within audit.
Duties will include:
* Preparation of Statutory and Management Accounts
* Preparation of tax computations
* Manage Client Audits from planning through to completion (training provided for individuals without prior experience)
The business are happy to consider applications from individuals who are qualified ACA/ACCA, along with individual who have developed experience without taking formal accountancy qualifications.
Skills and Qualities
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 year's experience working within a firm of accountants and ACA/ACCA qualified. Individuals must have developed a broad range of experience within statutory and management accounting along with experience of dealing with clients directly.
Remuneration
* Salary - GBP28,000 - GBP30,000 (salary dependent upon experience)
