Here at Heyllo we are expanding and recruiting. Do you want to join our dynamic team? We are recruiting for two Youth Employment Officers for an immediate start. We are looking for individuals who are very motivated and can be a great team player, Being able to engage and build report with younger people. To engage and support young people that are NEET not in education, employment or training, or from vulnerable groups to enable them to achieve positive outcomes and progress into employment education and training.
Recruit and find NEET young people (age 16- 29 or care leaver) within Tees valley, supporting them to re-engage in EET, making referrals to appropriate provision of multi-channel opportunities including
Pathways, Sector Routeways, level 2 qualifications, Apprenticeships and work experience.
Work with young people, schools and local community generating numbers to reach targets for this provision,
Reporting back to the Line Manager weekly.
Support referrals to delivery of Employability Award, Get Hired and other programmes to compliment their skills and career aspirations.
Responsibility for associated paperwork, eligibility checks and keeping in touch with your people to get them positive outcomes.
To connect with outside agencies, youth hubs, schools, colleges to go in to talk to their kick outs at the end of school life !
Connect to parent of young people to offer our full range of services.
Use of digital technology to enhance services for young people.
Deliver services in an outcomes driven environment and able to meet challenging targets.
Proactively engage with young people within their communities at places and times they meet including evenings and weekends.
Use a variety of approaches and skills to engage and establish relationships with young people disengaged from learning including resilience and restorative based approaches.
Provide information and advice to young people according to their needs in order to help them make appropriate and realistic decisions on issues affecting them.
Work within an equal opportunities framework to promote equality, diversity and the rights of the individual and to challenge stereotyping and prejudice.
Work proactively with parents, carers and others who influence young people, enabling them to become involved in and support young people's decision making.
Work within professional standards and ethical boundaries and maintain confidentiality and manage information in a manner that satisfies data protection requirements and adheres to the principle of informed consent of young people.
Maintain up to date and accurate manual and computerised case records on our share point within Heyllo's guidelines and procedures.
We try to keep hours rigid 9 - 5 however we may need to work flexible hours as required meeting the needs of the service (this to include evening work and occasional Saturdays).
Support with community calling/ telephone tracking for NEETS and unknowns. This is normally performed during school breaks e.g. half-term etc.
Carry out other reasonable and relevant duties as commensurate with the post
