A fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator has arisen to work for a well-established and progressive local business. The role will be supporting the sales and purchasing teams along with liaising with overseas agents and coordinating customer orders. Job Description:

As the Purchasing Coordinator you will be raising and management of sales orders from customers.
The raising and management of purchase orders to suppliers.
As the Purchasing Coordinator you will be using relevant reports and check sheets to ensure customer requirements are followed.
Saving of various documentation to relevant system folders.
As the Purchasing Coordinator you will be working closely with the customer and related buyers.
Managing system dates, ensuring accuracy at all times.
Updating and maintaining Navision data, especially in relation to item / vendor cards and purchase orders and sales orders.
As the Purchasing Coordinator you will be liaising with accounts to ensure that deposits / balance payments meet deadlines for shipments.
As the Purchasing Coordinator you will be liaising with Suppliers, Customers, Buyers and Factories in the Far East and worldwide.
Chasing and handling of product samples, tracking, customer requirements.
As the Purchasing Coordinator you will be liaising with China Office in relation to purchase orders, sales orders and product information.
Checking of Inspection Reports, Sales Confirmations, etc
Assisting with any enquiries from other depts., reps, etc.
General support to the Buying Team and Purchasing Department. Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working within a purchasing / procurement / buying / shipping / dispatching orders is essential for the role.
Experience within shipping/imports would be highly advantageous.
Have excellent attention to detail and administration skills.
Be self-motivated, proactive and able to work under own initiative.
Be able to manage time and workload, accordingly, in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to effectively communicate and negotiate with people of all backgrounds.
Work well under pressure and use effective time management to meet tight deadlines.
Be personable and able to build relationships with people of all levels / positions.
Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft packages.
Be a team player, with a flexible attitude. This role would suit people who also have the following experience: purchasing admin, procurement, buying, sales administration, expediting orders, shipping.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Salary: GBP18,000 - GBP19,000 per annum
