New Opportunity for An Emergency Accommodation Officer
Enfield
36 hours/week
GBP16 hour
Here you will be working as an Emergency Accommodation Officer being responsible for negotiating and procuring Nightly Paid accommodation in order to help prevent homelessness. You will be allocating accommodation and ensuring agreements are signed for all tenants for Temporary Accommodation types as well as providing appropriate information, advice and guidance to applicants with the focus on managing customer's housing expectations. You will be required to ensure all properties are allocated and agreements signed with tenants in a timely manner. Setting up tenancies and accounts for the properties allocated and provide business support for the Nightly Paid Accommodation Team.
Essential:
Knowledge of allocating accommodation in a local authority or housing association setting.
Experience of working in partnership with other departments, external agencies to deliver quality housing allocations
Can demonstrate the effective use of time and resources to meet challenging targets and deadlines
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent IT skills
Experience of working with several parties to achieve a successful outcome
Experience of working in a customer focused environment
Can use initiative to prioritise a heavy workload with several work streams independently of others.
Excellent negotiating skills with the ability to influence others
