Purpose of the Role
This role manages and delivers day to day operations of specific Talent Management programmes. Working closely with the Talent & Skills Manager and wider HR Team, the Talent Associate works across a number of projects and programmes to help support the upskilling and development of colleagues and talent management processes to ensure Ofcom is equipped with the right skills and level of capability to meet future demands.
Key responsibilities
You'll operationally own and deliver discrete programmes as directed by the Talent & Skills Manager. Working with the business and People Team colleagues ensure successful day to day management of the programme.
You'll maintain and regularly review our talent databases and other sources of data to ensure information is up to date and accurate, taking a data driven approach to our talent strategy
You'll support the Talent & Skills Manager in delivery of the Talent strategy and "business as usual" activities
You'll support the delivery of our talent development programmes to ensure a high performing and diverse succession pipeline for senior roles
You'll work closely with the Talent & Skills Manager to develop and implement Ofcom's performance management programme
You'll work closely with L&D co-ordinator and wider HR team to ensure there is a joined-up approach and alignment to all learning and talent offerings across Ofcom
You'll own and manage external supplier relationships & associated correspondence
You'll own the production of talent materials and related management decks
You'll support a 1st class internal / external candidate and hiring manager Talent experience, working collaboratively across all Talent functions
You'll work closely with internal communications and the broader Talent team to ensure all Talent focused communications are 'on-brand' and aligned to brand considerations - tone of voice, narrative and imagery
Skills, Knowledge and experience
You'll have previous experience of working in a similar Talent or People/HR generalist role with a strong focus on Graduate and other entry level recruitment and development
You'll be highly organised and comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritising to manage a busy workload and meet competing deadlines
You'll have the ability to work both independently (i.e. with minimal supervision, high attention to detail and following tasks through from start to finish) and as an effective team member
You'll have the ability to communicate and transfer knowledge effectively to others
You'll have the ability to act with diplomacy and discretion and to safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
You'll have proven experience in using HR or other systems to access or produce data for management information/reports. Proven ability to develop reports and presentations for communications to key stakeholders
You'll have experience in establishing internal/external relationships and networks.
