About the Client

This client farms over 90,000 Ha across the UK and Central and Eastern Europe with a well-established track record of delivering solid business and revenue growth. In the UK they farm more than 4,000 Ha, primarily in East Anglia but with operations also in Sussex, Northumberland and the Scottish borders. Their primary focus is potatoes and beetroot and are the largest grower of these crops in the UK. In addition, they grow onions alongside traditional cereal and sugar beet crops.

About the Role

A key aspect of this role will be to ensure the size, quality and delivery service is as per customer expectations and where possible, look to make improvements. This role will require the candidate to coordinate between our farm managers and our customers to ensure the successful delivery of all our table potato movement. As well as, managing a customer base, overseeing logistics and overall aim to drive growth and profit within the company. There is a lot of flexibility and license to make this role your own and you will be given the support to achieve that.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role, the ideal candidate will need to be a proactive, driven individual who is open to work hard to gain results. A background within the potato world is desirable but not necessary if there is an understanding of crops or produce management. The candidate will need to fit into the team and understand the clients' values. A strong communicator with the ability to deal with issues and objections is important.
