Our Bedford based client in the property and housing sector are looking for a confident Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate will be joining an already brilliant Payroll team and be helping to manage payroll for 700 employees across multiple sites.

Description
The successful Payroll Specialist will be responsible for:
Monitoring the payroll inbox and answer employee queries in a timely manner.
To complete aspects of Payroll administration, including leavers, maternity and pay rate changes and ensuring attention to detail is paid to all areas.
Maintain payroll system by keeping up to date records, calculating, and inputting data.
Adheres to payroll policies and procedures to comply with relevant law and update where necessary.
Liaise with key stakeholders at sites and operations over updates and provide support.
Updating all external parties with all relevant staff changes i.e., Reward Gateway, Wagestream and Medicash.Profile
The successful Payroll Specialist will have:
Knowledge of Payroll responsibilities SMP, SPP, SSP, AOE.
Attention to detail.
Good organisational skills.
Capable to work with minimal supervision.
Excel advanced ability is preferred including VLOOKUP's.
At least 2 year's experience in end-to-end payroll
Knowledge of processing expenses is preferable but not essential.
Up to date knowledge of legislation and ruling around statutory payments
Excellent communication skills, with the interpersonal skills to interact and influence at all levels
