This is a brilliant opportunity to join an award-winning international publisher of social science books and journals with a view to provide sales and administrative support to the Books and Journals Division. Within these areas you will undertake a variety of sales administrative tasks to support the Institutional Key Account Manager meeting sales objectives and targets.

The role acts as the Customer Service Administrator and is the first point of contact for sales and customer queries on the new eBooks and Journal's platform that will launch in January 2022.

Responsibilities:

Customer Services and Support

*

Responsibility for handling day-to-day sales-related enquires.

*

Act as first-line point of contact for customer queries.

*

Provide the sales representatives, agents and customers worldwide with product and promotional information related to the platform.

*

Manage and respond to queries within 24 hours; escalate any queries to the relevant team member when needed.

Liaison

*

Join the platform working group and answer routine customer sales or collection queries.

*

Provide bibliographic information, sales aids, support material and sales reports.

Planning and organising

*

Build and maintain relationships with customers via the third-party sales fulfilment agent (Turpin).

*

Handle escalated institutional customer issues involving high-priority, high-risk, or high-value libraries and/or consortia.

*

Carry out market research.

Key Account Manager.

*

Track trial subscription access requests and follow up where needed.

*

Track success of renewal efforts and responses.

*

Compile routine data for sales maintenance and prospecting.

Analysis, reporting and documentation

*

Maintain databases, spreadsheets and filing systems for a variety of platform and eBook information.

*

Produce ad-hoc sales and activity reports.

Relevant Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

Essential

*

Proven experience in a similar administrative/support role

*

Advanced Excel and Word skills.

*

Advanced data analysis skills.

*

Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

*

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

*

GCSEs or equivalent Desirable

*

Relevant vocational qualifications or training Communication and Interpersonal Skills.

*

Excellent interpersonal skills.

*

The ability to work unsupervised;

Desirable

*

Knowledge of use of third-party online data portals and ftp sites or similar.

*

Good knowledge of academic publishing.

*

Experience in front line customer service.

*

Experience of using publishing database systems.
