Your new role
As the EHS Manager, the main purpose of your role is to provide advice and support to all areas whilst overseeing the Health & Safety requirements for the business across the UK and liaise closely with the EU, guaranteeing all regulations and best practices are followed. Your responsibilities will include:

Support and advise site management on all EHS aspects.
Develop and embed EHS strategies and visions for the site.
Ensure the site is in line with current Health & Safety legislations and regulations.
Design and deliver bespoke training to all levels of the business, including inductions and contractors.
Manage and embed quality management systems, including behaviour based safety programmes.
Carry out site audits, risk assessments and advise on improvements.
Manage the accident and incident log, advise on improvements, preventions and analyse trends.
Attend meetings and complete/update regulatory reports.
Lead the employee safety committee, promoting awareness and driving improvements.
Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities.
Act as the lead for contractors, manage a strong working relationship.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, my client is looking for someone who can demonstrate a real passion for Health & Safety. Having a positive and proactive approach and the ability to engage and collaborate with employees at all levels is a must. You must be able to efficiently solve problems, whilst having strong communication and influencing skills to drive continuous improvements. To be considered for this role you will need to hold a NEBOSH Certificate and have previous experience in a manufacturing environment within a similar role.

What you'll get in return
Salary of up to GBP45,000, 22 days holiday plus bank holiday. There also is a company pension scheme.
