Adecco are currently recruiting Factory Operatives for our well established client based in Newport on a Temporary initially with a view to becoming permanent after 13 weeks , contract to start ASAP.
Shift Pattern - Shifts
Applicants need to be flexible. Rotating weekly Shifts - Working Days and nights 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, Nights, Sunday 10pm-5am, Monday to Thursday 9pm-5am
Job duties: Operate machinery and undertake general manual handling, to cut and bend steel, for use in the construction industry to form reinforced concrete.
Key Duties
Operate machinery to cut and bend steel bars
Operate Saw's
Use of measuring tapes to measure bars
Work towards production targets
Encourage high standards of housekeeping through effective workstation management and personal example.Manual Handling and Moving Objects - The job role includes manual lifting. Some heavy lifting of weights up to 25kg.
Health & Safety - Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Undertake equipment checks prior/during/after operation to ensure safe working.
Full site H&S induction provided before starting
Experience
Experience withing a manufacturing/ construction environment preferred but not essential as full training will be given .
Production work/ operating production machinery within the manufacturing or Engineering industry preferred.
Pay Rate: Days GBP8.91 , Nights GBP10.36, Weekly bonus is payable after training period Average rate of pay Basic + Bonus = GBP8.91 - GBP11.00 ph
