Maintenance Technician - Weekday Nights (Electrical bias)
SALARY: Upto GBP33,000 depending upon experience (+GBP4,105pa shift allowance) plus excellent benefits
LOCATION: Shipley, Bradford
HOURS OF WORK - Weekday Nights
Mon - Thurs, 10pm - 6am
Fri, 4pm - 9pm
INTRODUCTION
Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their strong existing team.The client is open to candidates who have an Electrical bias. The involves implementation of preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, corrective maintenance, overhaul and breakdown maintenance of the companies manufacturing machinery as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, so that the Company's ability to produce quality products in a timely manner can be achieved and maintained.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
??Respond appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations, which develop in the work environment. Ensure prompt attention and resolution of conditions that impact the business.
??Schedule machine time with Production in order to perform repairs or planned maintenance to equipment and may secure necessary materials and parts for the scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
??Build and maintain history on equipment, assess breakdowns, prioritize and take appropriate corrective action.Provide technical assistance to ensure shortest possible machine downtime, recording and creating manuals & drawings for early machine recovery.
??Attend departmental meetings with team members to discuss projects, issues, team briefings etc.
??Order required parts follow up orders to ensure spare parts are fitted to the appropriate machine on delivery.
??Process, review, and expedite work orders, modification and equipment drawings, schematics, check sheets, job instructions, and calibrations records.
??Knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and terms.
??Good oral communication.
??Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
??Respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
??Knowledge of appropriate office software applications.
??Good organisational and time management skills.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
??Knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures and terms.
??Good oral and written communication skills.
??Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
??Respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
??Knowledge of appropriate office software applications.
??Good organisational and time management skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
??Recognised engineering apprenticeship, together with at least 2 years' experience in a maintenance department of a manufacturing company.
??Minimum ONC or City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent (Technical Certificate, etc.)
??Time served apprenticeship
??PLC experience Faultfinding - Allen Bradley/Mitsubishi and knowledge of systems would be desirable.
??Capable of working unsupervised or within a team
??Conversant with the use of machine tools
??AC, DC & Servo Drive Experience
