We are working with an amazing business that makes some incredible products found all around the UK in most major retailers and suppliers!

Our client has established a top management team and this role has recently become available. The QA manager is an integral part of the business, ensuring that standards across all departments and lines are as high as they can and should be in line with industry regulations.
Other responsibilities of the QA manager include:
1.Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company health & Safety policy and procedures and with Environmental legislation and company Environmental policy and procedures.
2.Managing the day to day activities of the QA team on site.
3.Review QAS documents and update if required
4.Maintaining Internal Auditing (RA and Schedule)
5.Maintain supplier approval list of raw material and raw material specifications
6.Maintain customer specifications (online portals and in our own format)
7.Support customers with their requests (certificates, RA, checks, tests, queries)
8.Liaising with customers on quality issues and co-ordinating customer visits / audits
9.Perform regular traceability tests (quarterly)
10.Training of QA's and site colleagues
11.Proactively communicating information to the business on technical performance
12.Maintain micro Schedule, send samples collected by QA, trend analyse and update results
13.Maintain and investigate NCR
14.Maintain Complaint spreadsheet and ensure all investigations are completed
15.Managing, maintaining and implementing customer standards
16.Managing label and artwork approval
This role is a big one in terms of where the company aims to be in the coming years. They want to be the top brand in their category and for that they need a QA manager who is driven by results.
The ideal candidate MUST have at least 2 years experience as a QA manager / Quality manager in a business that works with high risk products.
A qualification at degree level in a food subject is important, along with relevant industry qualifications.
