LANDFILL SITE SUPERVISOR REQUIRED

About The Role
Monday to Friday 7.30 to 17:00 with 30 mins for Lunch unpaid.
What will I be doing?
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the daily running of the Landfill facility operations ensuring full compliance with Environmental and Health & Safety legislation. The site supervisor will ensure efficient deployment of staff and resources and promote recycling and diversion from landfill initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the processing division team and contribute to ensuring we provide the best service to our clients and customers.
Key responsibilities of the role include running and maintaining fixed and mobile plant, conducting supervisory checks in line with the company policies and procedures dealing with customer queries and complaints within the applicable timescales, conducting site audits in line with policies and procedures and ensuring all site maintenance issues are completed. Further responsibilities will include collating working hours of the site staff for payroll on a monthly basis; maintain budgetary control over operations, order equipment and resources for the site.
What are the requirements?
Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge regarding landfill operations. Working as part of a team, the successful candidate must have a qualification in (or working towards) COTC Level 4 Non Hazardous Waste. The candidate should be comfortable operating various items of mobile plant.
Experience of working in a supervisory position is essential.
Knowledge of and experience with IT systems is essential.
Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable but not essential.
