You have the opportunity to apply for a CNC Turner position with a company that have been established since the late 1800s. Now employing over 1000 people worldwide, this engineering powerhouse supply into a number of high-profile industries including Defence, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.
Based in Huddersfield, just 10 minutes from the M62, this business is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
The CNC Turner will:
Be an apprentice trained mechanical engineer, toolmaker, machinist or similar with formal qualifications/certifications (HNC, HND, NVQ)
Have experience working as a CNC Turner within a high precision machining environment
Be able to create bespoke CNC programmes using Heidenhain and/or Siemens controls
Be comfortable working on heavy components & projects up to 2 tonnes
Working hours of the CNC Turner:
Rotating AM/PM Shifts with flexibility required to potentially move to a 3-shift pattern in the future - 18% allowance applicable (25% applicable on 3-shifts)
Permanent nights are also open for discussion - 33% allowance applicable
AM Shift: 40 Hours per week
Monday to Friday 06:30 to 14:30
PM Shift: 34 Hours per week
Monday to Thursday 14:30 to 22:00
Friday: 14:30 to 18:30
Basic Package of the CNC Turner:
Base Salary: GBP29,577 (GBP34,900.86 including shift allowance)
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days
Company Life Insurance & Pension Scheme
Onsite Gym (GBP5 per month)
