Working with a market leading manufacturer, Premier Work Support have a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Manager to work at a flagship site in West Molesey.
The role of Logistics Manager is to plan, organise and control the storage and distribution of goods, and resources to achieve this. You will be responsible for controlling the movement of materials to meet production and customer demands whilst balancing inventory space and maintaining physical and system stock accuracy
Requirements;
5 or more year's related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least two years of previous materials management related experience.
Strong working knowledge ERP, Excel and Word.
Ability to work under pressure.
Courtesy in dealing with all customers is required.
Duties include:
Develop warehouse and distribution strategies that support the medium and long-term strategy using the corporate ERP system.
Gather and analyse internal and external information to develop a distribution strategy that considers customers' current and future requirements, company growth plans, competitive landscape and global supply chain's impact on existing network.
Develop models and conduct analyses to identify service and cost improvements (transportation, inventory and operating expenses).
Determine optimal product flows from supplier to customer.
Identify ways to optimize inventory through stocking strategies.
Analyse and present recommendations to senior leadership for decision-making.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate and implement best-in-class and optimisation of tools.
Maintain processes and documentation to attain minimum of FORS Bronze.
Perform other special assignments and duties as may be required.
This is a permanent opportunity and the salary will be between GBP33,000 - GBP37,000, depending on experience. You will be working Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:00 with the occasional weekend shift.
