A La Carte Recruitment is recruiting for Production Operatives at one of our client's high-tech Sandwich manufacturing facilities. The location of this site is in Melton Mowbray. The work you would be doing is varied and interesting. As a Production Operative you would need to be comfortable working with meat (Beef, Pork, Chicken, Lamb, Fish, Shellfish) products which may be raw and/or cooked and you would have to handle these products with or without gloves depending on the circumstances and departments.
As a Production Operative your roles would be:
Hygiene - Cleaning of Departments as well as machinery throughout the working day. This job will include heavy lifting and the temperature in each department will vary from department to department.
Ingredient Preparation - Collecting raw and/or cooked ingredients and delivering them to various departments in preparation of manufacturing final products.
High care - Working as a Line Operative manufacturing food products such as sandwiches and wraps.
Full training will be provided, no previous experience required. The shift duration does vary. It WILL NOT be only an 8 hour shift. Flexibility with regards to working hours is a must.
Each shift duration will vary and the patterns are as follows:
Morning: 6am start (8-12 hour shift) finish between 2pm to 6pm
Afternoon: 2pm start (8-12 hour shift) finish between 10pm to 2am
Nights: 6pm to 10pm start (8 - 12 hour shift) finish at 6am
The current pay rate is set at:
Morning: GBP9.06
Afternoon: GBP9.06
Nights: GBP9.29
Example Pay earned after working 60 Hours on night shifts is up to GBP557.40*
