About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part qualified Financial Accountant with significant relevant experience, to lead our Financial Accounting team in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

Areas of responsibility will include: purchase ledger, sales ledger including rent accounting, payroll, VAT and CIS returns, Fixed Assets registers, cashflows, preparation of financial statements and returns to regulators, funders and other statutory bodies.

On the Job you will:

Be responsible for the day to day management and control of the financial accounting function for the Group and ensuring that the Financial Systems are all accurate, effective and of an acceptable standard.

Review monthly payroll reconciliations and ensuring that all related statutory and other returns (e.g. pension) are produced accurately and submitted on time.

Produce quarterly accounts, regulatory returns ensuring a high degree of accuracy on a timely basis in liaison with relevant personnel.

Produce Financial Statements for the Group including consolidation for review and be the first point of contact for external audits.

Lead, motivate and support staff in the team to provide a professional and high quality service to customers.

About You

We're looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and has proven track record of achievements including meeting deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have worked in social housing or other similar industries, with experience of managing a team.

The minimum qualifications required are:

CCAB or equivalent qualified accountant or part qualified accountant with significant relevant experience.
