Our client designs and produces bespoke fitted kitchens and furniture to a very high-quality standard. They use a variety of quality material including wood, glass and metal. Team4You are recruiting for a qualified cabinet maker/joiner with experience of working within the industry preferably with over 3 years experience producing bespoke furniture to join us.
Job Summary:
Able to build cabinets-furniture by studying CAD drawings, renders and specification lists; setting-up and operating equipment; verifying dimensions; assembling and finishing components.
Duties:
* Prepares work from drawings, sketches, specifications; checking equipment and tools; obtaining and selecting wood, materials and supplies;
* Cuts and shapes wood components by determining appropriate methods for cutting, shaping, and assembling parts; setting-up and operating equipment, including power saws, planers, sanders, spindle moulders, lathes, jointers, and routers; measuring and marking materials; verifying dimensions; trimming parts using hand tools, including planes, chisels, wood files, and sanders.
* Assembles units by attaching parts and components using fasteners and adhesives; verifying dimensions; trimming and adjusting parts.
* Finishes units by sanding, staining, sealing, adding hardware.
Key Skills:
* Experience on Bench and Machine work
* Site Fitting experience
* High level of skill and attention to detail
* Able to work to agreed deadlines to a high standard.
* Able to work from production drawings
* Able to work on initiative as well as part of a team.
* Good Communication skills

* To produce furniture with very high artisanship.
* To be motivated and hardworking.
* To be a good team player with ability to work independently.
* To be honest and reliable.
* To be able to read detailed CAD drawings and work in the workshop without supervision.
* Understand & read production drawings
* To have high level of skills and attention to detail.
* To be able to work to deadlines however maintaining the highest quality.
* Must be confident with the use of wood-working machinery
* Veneering experience preferable
* Should have a positive approach & able to problem solve
* Be willing to grow & develop within the company
* Making sure while working in the workshop you adhere to Health and Safety practices and that you are wearing the appropriate PPE required
* Completing final inspection of job and sign off for delivery
