ACTIVITIES TEAM LEADER
GUILDFORD, SURREY

IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES / WELLBEING COORDINATOR EXPERIENCE IN A CARE HOME OR NURSING HOME.
What is the job?
An Activities Team Leader is essential to work every day to help all residents live a dignified and meaningful life. The job requires the highest of standards, bags of passion while always considering the resident's choices, their views and respecting their independence.
You will be managing the activities for the home and also managing an Activities Assistant.
The Activities Team Leader role will include a number of tasks such as:
1-1 Sessions with the Service User
Group Sessions
Organising Daily Activities and Outings
Complete weekly and monthly timetables of activities
Organise Special Arrangements for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Easter and Christmas.
Arranging Visits
Light Exercises with Service User
Board Games
Arts and Crafts
Puzzles
Knitting
Gardening
Sing-a long
News Paper/ Book Reading
Shopping
What we are looking for in the role of a Activities Team Leader:

Being able to think and make decisions under pressure, be positive when the chips are down and always keep a smile will all help secure your next job.
You will ideally have worked in a care home or nursing home as an Activities / Wellbeing Coordinator.
About the Care setting:
The home is an elegant, country house situated in three acres of grounds, providing long term residential and dementia care for people aged 65 years and above.
The home also provides respite care to enable loved ones to take a well deserved break, convalescent care when recovering from an accident, illness or operation, as well as day care.
An elevated position provides remarkable views of the surrounding countryside, yet they are conveniently located only two miles from the centre of Guildford, allowing residents good access to community life.
All rooms are light and airy, enjoying delightful views of the countryside and gardens. They are comfortably furnished and have en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring personal effects whilst the original building has been lovingly converted retaining its elegant features.
As a family run establishment their philosophy of care has been developed through years of experience. Directors and staff provide the very best individual facilities, service and care by recognising everyone's wish for privacy, independence, security and freedom of choice in a dignified way.
