THE CLIENT:
As a result of continued success and ongoing planned programme of strategic growth an opportunity has arisen within our Client's Company for a edge bander to join their company on a full time temporary to permanent basis. THE JOB:
Our Huddersfield based client now requires a edge bander that has previous experience of working within a joinery environment to work in a fast paced production and machine operative environment. You will be mainly working on the edge bander machine, so experience is very important.
CRITERIA:
It is essential that you have utilised an Edge Banding machine before. Experience of working with real timber is advantageous however this is not essential. Need to have good literacy and numeracy skills.
Have experience of operating either single, double or combination Edgeband machines.
Be able to familiarise and own the machine parameters including tolerances and capabilities.
Hold the knowledge of interpreting technical drawings in accordance to the product specification.
Have the ability to work accurately within a high volume manufacturing environment.
Be able to maintain an excellent level of productivity throughout the shift to meet production targets whilst observing quality issues.
Demonstrate a good understanding of safe practices and excellent housekeeping in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Have the ability to use own initiative.
BENEFITS:
You would be rotating between the early and late shift. The hourly rate will range from GBP8.91 to GBP9.20 per hour.
