Our client, based in the East End of Glasgow, have an urgent requirement for a temporary HR Advisor. This role is part time 20 Hours per week, shift working. The rate of pay will be GBP13.34 per hour, with a weekend allowance of GBP78.48 per month. This role is expected to last until Feb 2022.
Weekday working Tuesday and Wednesday, start and finish times 9am-5pm and 7am - 3pm. Also working one weekend in three from 7am - 5pm.

Main Duties
To act as first point of contact for all HR queries received via People Direct a designated telephone number, email and intranet portal service
Record absence and the return to work of officers and staff on SCoPE system and provide attendance management advice and guidance to individuals and line management as required following first contact.
Undertake research where required in order to answer queries effectively and timeously, ensuring the customer is aware of progress/escalation/resolution.
Research areas where no policy exists to provide advice to the caller to resolve the issue. Through the People Direct Service Manager, highlight any knowledge gaps, awareness opportunities or policy anomalies
Contribute to the development and review of new or amended HR policies, SOPs, guidance and processes in line with agreed consultation routes.
Escalate complex issues appropriately to designated People Service Advisor, for consideration/resolution, other P&D functions or other internal stakeholders where required.
Promote HR knowledge/HR advice by signposting customers to relevant information, HR self-help tools and encourage use of Intranet, Policy Hub and FAQ's
Generate required management information, undertake demand data volume and trend analysis as directed.
Research and resolve formal customer complaints received.
Where required, taking accurate minute/note of employee relations investigative meetings or hearings.
Key skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ensures customers receive best service possible.
Ability to organise own workload multi task and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office Word and Excel software.
SVQ3, HNC, Apprenticeship or equivalent or Moderate period of relevant working experience
Professional Qualification in HR or equivalent
