YOUTH SUPPORT OFFICER'S REQUIRED

No experience required!

Day to day, you will help to create a safe, secure environment for young people aged between 12 to 18 years who have been remanded or sentenced to periods of detention. General Overview

Working directly with the young people, your responsibilities will include:

Motivate, support and care for young people to provide a stable and secure educational and residential environment which promotes anti-offending behaviour to develop life skills, manage their own behaviour and enhance their effective resettlement on release
Building mutual trust and respect with the young people so that they respond positively and appropriately to information and guidance
Defining structures and boundaries, and role-modelling positive behaviours, to set clear expectations of the young people in our care
Monitoring and managing the behaviour of the young people to minimise incidents and improve standards of behaviourGeneral Overview & Benefits

8-week induction and training programme
Monday - Friday
Shifts 07:00-14:00 and 13:45-21:00

To apply for this role, you must be eligible to work in the UK and must have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years. Experience of working with young people is desirable. You will also be required to undergo DBS enhanced level security clearance and will need to provide full details of your work and educational history covering the last 10 years as part of the screening process for the role.
