A bit about the role???
Protect My Property is currently looking to expand their Field teams by recruiting for Domestic Security Engineers within South London. As a Domestic Security Engineer you will work on our Nationwide security customer base, currently circa 12,000 customers. The main part of the role is attending customers homes to complete maintenance appointments as scheduled by the office however you will also cover domestic installs. You will have a local geographical area to cover and at times be required to go to other areas to cover sickness, holiday or any other absence.
This role takes a 360 approach so we require all our Engineers to promote sales. You will attend domestic properties to quote on a variety of new installs that are scheduled by your Head Office colleagues. You will be rewarded for any new sales you bring onboard and will follow the install until completion, such as ordering stock, completing the install and commissioning.
All of our Domestic Security Engineers are expected to participate in an out of hours (on call) rota system, shared between other engineer/s to provide 24hr emergency cover to our customers and to provide a 4hr response in line with current regulations. The company has National Coverage and some travel is expected.
Due to the nature of our work all candidates must hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) and have no colour sight deficiency.

Key Responsibilities???
* Daily duties to attend domestic and small commercial premises to complete routine service and maintenance work. On completion of work complete job dockets/paperwork
* Undertake domestic installations as surveyed. This includes fitting of fused spurs after completion of mains compliance course.
* Provide excellent Customer Service to meet the expectations and requirements of both the contracted and non-contracted customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers to install the appropriate devices; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by the customer.
* Give assurance to customers on how to use the system and where any potential new products may be suitable.
* Adhere to strict health & safety guidelines
* Report any changes, deficiencies or deviations in systems to Manager/Office.
* Achieve and exceed work performance targets and adhere to ISO 9002 procedures.
Other duties may be undertaken as and when required, in particular when new business is gained.
What you'll bring to the role???
Essential:
* 1 Years+ experience within a Domestic Security Systems Maintenance & Install role as a minimum
* Demonstrable knowledge of CCTV.
* Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement in a customer facing environment, ideally in domestic homes.
* Basic electrical knowledge.
* Dedicated to the provision of excellent customer services
* Willingness to learn on the job with internal training.
* Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders, ensuring conformance to health and safety requirements
* Ability to use power tools to repair and/or dismantle equipment.
Desirable:
* Relevant Additional Certificates i.e. IPAF,
* A wide range of Intruder Alarm Manufacturer experience.
* Prior Sales, Surveying & Quotation Experience
* Door Entry Experience
* Knowledge of intruder alarm standards i.e. BS4737 EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS8243.
* Knowledge of CCTV & Access Control standards i.e. NCP 109, NCP 104
* Knowledge of Risco and DSC intruder alarm systems
