The company continues to invest heavily in R&D developing new handheld battery-powered products to add to their range every 2-3 years and are continuing to set the bar in terms of safety testing. Due to an internal move and growth of the team, a role as Senior Electronics Engineer has developed to technically lead a small electronics team within a larger technical team (circa 14 engineers) as they work to deliver major projects in strict timescales.

Technical leadership role as Senior Electronics Engineer from concept through to delivery of unique battery-powered handheld devices. A very varied new product development role the successful Engineer will cover the full spectrum of electronics design (predominantly digital with some analogue) including research, prototyping, DFM, DFT all the way through to delivery to the customer.
Full product lifecycle design role, very varied encompassing technology like microcontrollers, microprocessors, PCB layout, circuit design, sensors, touch interfacing, PSUs, heaters, fans, stepper motors etc
Essential Requirements of the Senior Electronics Engineer
* Analogue and digital design experience - the role is predominantly digital design (microcontrollers and microprocessors) but some analogue design experience will be required
* Electronics Engineering Degree or similar qualification
* Full lifecycle design experience taking a product from concept through to design and into production
* Experience with electronics design, development and manufacture of commercial products
* Research, prototyping DFM, DFT, DFMEA experience (design for low cost, commercial awareness of production)
* PCB board layout design and testing
* Knowledge of EMC requirements
Nice to Have Requirements of the Senior Electronics Engineer
* Any experience with battery-powered handheld devices would be very useful
* Any experience with sensors including very low power sensor technology
* Any experience with low-level software development would be good (not essential)
* Any experience with connected technology, digitisation projects, CE Marking, portable low power etc
