Based in West Lothian my client is a niche manufacturing business with a blue chip, Global client base. Continued commercial success means the business is now seeking to hire a Project Engineer to compliment the current team.
This role will have extensive interaction with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders including Commercial, Sales, Design, Manufacturing, and Installation. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate high levels of energy, and always have a 'can-do' attitude.

This is an exciting time within the business, and it is seeking applicants who can bring new ideas and concepts to enhance project delivery, profitability and client satisfaction.

Your role will be client facing with day-to-day duties and responsibilities being varied and will include:

Manage several projects simultaneously, ensuring that all are completed to budget and specification.
Work with the business development function and the estimating team to develop proposals.
Mobilising projects and production of key project documentation
Work with the design team to convert customers aspirations into practical designs.
Risk management throughout lifecycle to ensure mitigation, escalation and business approval as needed.
Budget ownership and review including negotiating project variations.
Influence departments within the business to ensure smooth running of projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients.
Assist with coordination of internal resources and third parties to ensure the successful execution of the project.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proven Expertise within a Project Engineering / Management role.
Ideally, a degree within an engineering discipline is preferred but not essential.
Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
Ideally have financial control / QS project experience within a manufacturing and/or construction/fit-out environment.
To be a people person with strong organisational and effective time management skills.
To work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
To be IT proficient including the use of Microsoft 365 - particularly Excel, simple accounting, and proprietary database systems.
